November brings a quieter original slate than October but a stronger licensed one, with a run of recognizable catalog films landing November 1. Here's what's confirmed.

Arriving November 1

The Day After Tomorrow — Roland Emmerich's climate disaster film, with Dennis Quaid trekking to a frozen New York to reach his son. Big, loud, and better than it has any right to be.

Richard Jewell — Clint Eastwood's film about the security guard wrongly suspected in the 1996 Olympic bombing.

Netflix Originals

November 2 — Masha and the Bear (Season 6)
New episodes of the animated kids' series.

November 3 — Bass X Machina
An animated steampunk western series starring Brian Tyree Henry.

November 4 — A Dog's Perfect Christmas
A Netflix Original adapted from the bestselling novel. The first proper holiday title of the season.

November 5 — Overacting
A Thai action-comedy, and from the description an aggressively chaotic one.

November 6 — Possible Love
Directed by Lee Chang-dong, one of the most acclaimed Korean filmmakers working. This is the prestige release of the month.

November 6 — Unprotected: Murder in Galicia
A Spanish true-crime documentary series.

November 11 — The Body
A teen psychological drama from Quinn Shephard.

November 18 — Gentle Monster
A drama starring Léa Seydoux.

November 19 — The Altruists
A true-crime drama about cryptocurrency, starring Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle. On paper this is the most interesting thing Netflix is releasing in November.

November 20 — Steps
An animated retelling of Cinderella.

Still to Be Dated

Netflix typically announces the back half of a month's slate in the final weeks before it starts. The final season of The Empress is confirmed for November but doesn't have a date yet, and more licensed titles are expected for November 1.

Before You Add Everything to Your List

November is also a heavy month for removals — seven Fast & Furious films, the Chucky franchise, and Broadchurch all leave on November 1, and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life departs on the 25th.
